Be Still and Know...

Our “Be Still” Women’s Retreat was a meaningful time to step away from everyday demands and make room for God, rest, and sisterhood. Through fellowship, reflection, and moments of stillness, we embraced the invitation to “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). The retreat reminded us to appreciate the present moment, find gratitude amid life’s ups and downs, and trust God with what we cannot control. More than a getaway, it was an opportunity to renew our spirits, deepen our connections, and carry peace into our everyday lives.

2026 Retreat

Our focus color this year was Terra-Cota. Why Terra-Cotta?

Terra-cotta means “baked earth.” It begins as ordinary clay, soft and unformed, pulled straight from the ground. In the potter’s hands it is shaped with purpose. Then it is placed in the fire and left there, still, until it becomes strong enough to hold water, carry life, and last for generations.

That is the heart of Be Still. Clay cannot shape itself, and it cannot rush the fire. As Isaiah 64:8 reminds us, “we are the clay, and thou our potter.” The stillness is not wasted time. It is where the strengthening happens.

Terra-cotta is also the color of warmth, of earth, of home. It reminds us that God does His finest work in ordinary vessels. Paul said we carry this treasure “in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us” (2 Corinthians 4:7).

This retreat was an invitation to stop striving, rest in the Potter’s hands, and leave renewed, shaped, and strengthened for what God has next.

2027 promises to be even better!

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
